probably the best of the "superzoom" compacts, at least image quality wise, but don't expect it to match A720is and similar. First Canon where I've had to keep going back to the manual. Menu system not as simple as previous models, but then this camera does more.
Typically good Canon movies. GPS and HD movie mode quite hard on the battery, so GET A SPARE BATTERY!! - Canons own or an Energiser - check battery reviews on Amazon os Google.
Movie digest mode - (a short clip recorded as each still is shot then joined together in camera) a great feature.
